SEADE Twinning Programme – Updates & Next Steps

Official Call Is Closed

The SEADE Twinning Programme application call is now officially closed, and we are excited to share some key updates. We extend our sincere gratitude for the overwhelming interest in the programme. We received 188 applications from organizations across Africa and Europe, including countries such as from Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, Nigeria, SouthAfrica Namibia, Ethopia, Poland, France, Lituania, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. The high-quality applications, particularly from research institutions, reflect a strong commitment to fostering international collaboration.

Eight Pairs Have Been Selected

After a rigorous selection process, we are pleased to announce that the first batch of twinning pairs has already begun the initial stages of defining their collaborations. Eight partnerships, involving esteemed institutions from both continents, will be working closely in the coming weeks to develop their concept notes and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). This marks the official launch of the programme, which is designed to address ecosystem challenges and transform research into market-driven solutions. Over the next six months, these partnerships will work within a structured framework to enhance cooperation, drive knowledge exchange, and foster impactful innovations.

Next Steps

  • Partnership Development – The selected twinning pairs will refine their collaboration frameworks and align on project goals.

  • MoU Signings & Concept Finalization – Official agreements will be established, and detailed plans will be shaped.

  • Project Implementation – The teams will initiate joint efforts to tackle ecosystem challenges and create sustainable, market-oriented solutions.

  • Regular Updates – We will continue to share insights into the programme’s progress, highlight key initiatives, and showcase the impact of these collaborations.

  • Stay tuned for more updates on the participating organizations, their focus areas, and the innovative solutions they will be working on in the months ahead.
